What’s your style personality?

Although most people fall into one of five general ‘Style Personalities’, that’s not to say that we can’t play with other styles or that our Style Personality is unable to change. You might find that you identify with one of the Style Personalities at this point in time, but you may also recognise that you have been a different ‘Style Personality’ at another stage in your life. You may even recognise that you flow between two or more, depending on your mood, and perhaps between work and leisure.

When making wardrobe choices, it can help to have a picture in your mind of a person whose style you admire, or who epitomises the general style you would like to achieve for yourself. To clarify, this doesn’t mean that we will replicate the person’s look exactly (because we need to embrace your own individuality and remember to dress you for your unique body shape and colour characteristics). However, we can look to stylish role models as a source of inspiration, and then aim to bring our own outfits together with unique twists, touches and your own personal preferences!

On the following pages you will find a number of statements and checkboxes. Place a tick beside each statement that sounds like it might describe you and, at the end, count how many ticks you have for each Style Personality. Don’t worry if you have a similar or an equal number of ticks between two personalities - this is quite common!
