Let’s find what works for you.

Our dietary choices, lifestyle, lifestage, health status, and genes all influence our nutritional needs. Stepping away from the one-size-fits-all, towards the personalised approach empowers you to make choices that work for you and your individual needs.

Nutrition is not just about what you eat. Using a ‘food first’ approach, we will also explore when and how you eat, working with your body’s natural rhythms to support digestion and blood sugar balance. Sometimes the body needs a little more support with particular nutrients, and supplements may be recommended to ‘fill the gaps’ that food alone might not be able to. I work with a variety of functional tests that can provide additional insights into symptoms and highlight areas to focus on. As a Lifecode Gx Nutrigenomics Practitioner, we can look at how your current nutrition and lifestyle may interact with your genes, targeting changes that could be made to optimise them.

As each plan is tailored to your needs, this may include more practical hands-on sessions such as meal planning, food preparation, reading food labels, and supermarket/food store visits.

I’d love to hear from you if you are wanting:

  • to improve energy, sleep, stress or digestive issues

  • tailored sports and exercise nutrition

  • support with a required dietary change (allergy/intolerance)

  • support with taking injectable weight loss medications

  • to adopt a balanced vegetarian/plant-based diet

  • or are curious to know how your health can be supported through nutrition and lifestyle changes.

How we’ll work together.

It all begins with your unique health story. We will explore your dietary and lifestyle habits in a safe and judgement-free space, and using an evidence-based approach, consider underlying factors that could be contributing to your symptoms. Together, we will create a fully personalised plan aligned to your individual goals, preferences, and needs - supporting meaningful, lasting change to your health. Consultations can be online or in-person (if based Guernsey).

  • I started working with Vivienne to help me sort out the priorities of my life, and she really had a tremendous impact on me. She is so easy to talk to, so approachable, and I never felt pushed into anything. She really helped me to focus on what worked for me, and helped me celebrate victories, no matter the size.

    Amy

  • My sessions with Viv were such a positive experience. After years of prioritising the needs of my family and work commitments, taking time to focus on my health and wellbeing was a refreshing and very much needed experience… and the goals we set together were life changing.

    Tracy

  • I have developed a different outlook on life in general and have changed habits to give me a healthier lifestyle - both physically and mentally.

    Nick

  • I feel more empowered, more committed to making the right food decisions, rather than what's convenient. I feel stronger mentally and feel healthier overall.

    Rachael

  • I am now on a journey that I can continue on my own to achieve my ultimate goals. I feel that I have let go of my all or nothing approach to both exercise and eating a plant based diet and am happy to slowly change over time. This is quite a mindset change for me.

Your questions, answered

  • Nutritional therapy is an evidence-based, personalised approach to health and wellbeing that uses the power of food and lifestyle, and sometimes supplements, to promote balance in the body’s systems. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach or addressing individual symptoms, it looks at your unique health story to explore the root causes of symptoms and create a personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan. Together, we’ll explore small, consistent, sustainable changes that work for you, helping you feel better in your body and more confident in your choices.

  • Nutritional therapy focuses on how food and lifestyle may impact health, whilst health coaching focuses on how to implement and sustain changes to these areas through goal setting, habit-formation and motivation. They can serve as a powerful combination, bringing together the science of nutrition with the art of change.

  • This really depends on your health status and goals, along with the time and space you have to implement them. Identifying root causes and implementing change can require time and patience. Three sessions is a good starting point, after this we can review the next best steps to support you.

If you’re not sure about committing to three sessions, please book a free 30 minute call with me and we can discuss your needs.

  • Functional tests are advanced, private lab tests that can help to identify the root cause of your symptoms. Rather than diagnosing, they provide an insight into how your body is functioning by looking at potential imbalances, deficiencies, or stressors that may be contributing to how you’re feeling.

Testing may be suggested to explore areas such as digestive health, hormone balance, nutrient levels, food sensitivities, immune responses, metabolic health, detoxification, amongst others. If it is relevant for you, we’ll discuss testing options and choose what best supports your goals and budget. Fortunately, most tests can be completed in the comfort of your home with a sample kit (e.g. saliva, stool, urine, or finger-prick blood). I will interpret and share your results with you, based on the context of your full health picture. As tests are only one piece of the puzzle, results will not be interpreted in isolation of this, and will not be offered without a consultation.

Testing information can help tailor a personalised plan that’s focused and aligned with your body's unique needs, along with your personal preferences.

  • Nutrigenomics is the science of how our nutrition and lifestyle choices can impact the expression of our genes. Whilst we can’t change our genes, nutrigenomics testing provides us with an understanding of how we can make positive choices to optimise our health and wellbeing.

We each carry small variations in our DNA, called SNPs, that can affect things like vitamin requirements, metabolism, food response and detoxification. Combined with a health history, nutrigenomic testing can offer personalised insights into symptoms, further helping to tailor nutrition and lifestyle recommendations to support your unique biology.

As a qualified Nutrigenomics Practitioner, I can offer the following tests through Lifecode Gx:

    • Nutrient core

    • Metals and minerals

    • Metabolics

    • Hormones

    • Methylation

    • Histamine intolerance

    • Detoxification

    • Nervous syem

    • APOE

    • Thyroid balance

    • Athlete
